Updates from Pawcific...

November and December has been busy as usual. I have been away from home on several different trips.

The first trip Michael took me to Leavenworth, WA on Thanksgiving weekend. It was beautiful there and of course many fun events happened. Some odd ones that turned out rather nicely and others that I will always remember. Here is a picture Michael took with his tripod one evening. I was very cold as it was 20 out and Michael seemed to not get the picture exactly as he wanted too very quickly!

The next weekend we were off to compete at Eukanuba. Evan had to come down with us this year, so we promised him a day at Disneyland! Here are the only three pictures I took from that day of fun! We literally wore out the poor boy as he was a walking zombie by the end of the night and hardly got back to the car. I always enjoy visiting Disneyland, even if I was banned this year from most of my favorite rides due to being pregnant!

The auto ride was Evan's favorite.

In the dog world...as many of you know already, Nola ended up having a false pregnancy or ??? Your guess is as good as mine as we palpated and felt puppies then she just didn't have them. A good thing in my mind as I really didn't want to deal with a litter of puppies.
In other dog news...Jenny and I have been busy taking herding lessons. I have been training Lucy and she has been training Splash.

Lucy is still a princess show dog...yes she stops in a free stack!

One of my favorite shots of Splash. I love this dog on the move and just don't think he has been recognized enough. His first litter has the same gorgeous flowing movement.

Well those are the updates for now. Happy Holidays to all and safe travels to those traveling during these next couple of weeks. :-)

Puppies coming and available...

Some much needed updates...

First off, I have been really busy with life. October went by in a whirlwind and November hasn't been much different. I am juggling three jobs, all my volunteer work, taking care of my dogs, trying to buy a house, and as many of you know, I am also pregnant with my second child on top of everything else (due in April!). So, reality check has really been happening lately about the amount of dogs I can cope with and the logistics for the next year with new baby coming. I have some great friends who have graciously agreed to take a dog for me or co-owners that are willing to keep dogs while I am busy with a newborn. Thank you!!! As many of you know I have also leased out Secret for her first litter, which will hopefully happen in the Spring. I do miss her, but she is in good hands and may see the ring a little while she is settling in.

Next job I have had to take care of is sorting through the Cardigan puppies. I am hopeful that one of these days I can get more updated pictures of all of them, but it is so hard to find a time that it is not raining right now with the really icky northwest fall weather we have been having! (Yes, we may even see our first snow this weekend, UGH!) Here is a few updated shots of Emma, Shadowalk Valley Girl (Clu's girl) at 8 months...

If the right home came along I would let Emma go. It would have to be a situation where she is shown and that I could get a litter back or puppy back. She is very sweet and a nice puppy, but will only let her go if that perfect home comes along, otherwise she will stay here!

Next item of business is a little surprise litter Nola decided to make my life even more complicated with!! On Thursday I have an ultrasound scheduled to see if we can pinpoint better who the father might be, but it was either done at Susan Lassila's house while she was there with her dog Dustin or it was accomplished at my house with Lincoln. She may go back to Susan's house if we think it is Dustin puppies, otherwise the litter will happen here. Either way, we will have to DNA test puppies to confirm the correct father. In any regard, if you are interested in a puppy, please don't hesitate to send me a puppy questionnaire off of my Puppy Page and get on the list! Here is Nola, pregnant and getting big...

Fraser...5 months old

Thank you to Brittany Newby for taking Fraser for the weekend while I was gone and also taking some much needed updated pictures of him! You rock!!

Fraser had a great time running on the beach with all of Britt's dogs. Love this front shot of him!

She attempted a stacked shot. Pretty good for an untrained wiggly puppy!

He later on had fun with the chuck it!

Back home with double bones to chew!

2010 BCSA Nationals...

I just got back from the BCSA nationals at Purina Farms in Gray Summit, MO. I am happy to announce that Vogue, GCH CH Pawcific Strike A Pose, came home with Select Bitch at the nationals, thanks to breeder judge Kathie Kinton from England. I am honored to have shown Vogue to this fabulous win as a breeder, owner, handler. Thanks to her co-owner Jeanette for letting me campaign her this year, to my wonderful Mom and Sister who are currently on their way back home from driving the dogs back and forth to nationals, and most importantly to the people who helped make this litter happen. I am proud of breeding such a lovely bitch, who is only 3 years old and just at the start of her show career. This winter, Vogue will be bred for her first litter if all goes well. Jeanette has agreed to have the litter at her house. We are still debating who to breed her too.

On another note...my puppy Edward, Hilltop's Breaking Dawn came home with 4th in his big sweepstakes class. Jenny showed Morgan, her veteran bitch, to Best Veteran Bitch at the national. And also showed a relative of ours, GCH Bonnidune Autumn Thunder, Fury to first AOM at the Regional Specialty on Sunday. He is a grandpup of Haze, Vogue's mother. Congrats to his owners Kelly Whiteman and Carol Clark!

Thank you Dawna for training and taking care of my boy! I hear that his children are going to be stars in the herding arena as well. I can't wait!

Just Joey

Am CH Llandwyn Just Joey (Imp Aust)

The other day, I had a wonderful update from the family who own Just Joey.

Linda reports, "You will be pleased to know that he is still an absolutely adored member of the family, living a life of royal retirement. Joe's favourite place to be is in his yard (which is a good 1/3 acre) where he watches all who pass - animals and humans alike. He is such an easy keeper and absolutely devoted to the family."

I can't believe he will be 11 years old in October. Thank you Linda for a wonderful report.

Edward's win photo from Enumclaw

I love this puppy. He is just awesome. Although his brother is going to give him a run for his money when he calms down and behaves himself better. :-)

Roger with his ears up!!

My friend Brittany took the puppies while I was gone and played with them. I came home to Roger's ears up! Credit to Brittany for the photo! Roger is looking for a new home. If you are interested, email me privately.

Pony Camp 2010!

While I was away for a 5 day seminar. Evan got a chance to stay at his grandparents house and have a condensed version of Pony Camp. He had tons of fun and most importantly rode his pony Truman! Mom sent me two pictures through her phone, so thought I would share!

Truman and Evan. (Mom says they worked on getting him to steer and he is doing better. Although the kicking to get him to start walking they are still needing some practice on)

Evan painting and putting together my model horse with organs and skeleton. (I think it became a bigger project then what Mom expected. I think it is really cool, but not sure how you are supposed to put it all together and make it stay!)

Sparky Herding in AZ!!!

Dawna sent me new pictures of Sparky herding in AZ. I am so proud of my boy!

Roger and Brianna...the two Cardi puppies left!!

All but two of the Cardigan puppies left this weekend. James went to his new home near Olympia to be a companion and hopefully do some herding. Blarney (formally Claire) went to a home in Oregon where she will be a therapy dog. Autumn (formally Lizzie) went to Rita in Idaho to be a show dog. And finally someone stole Fraser for a bit (guess who?) but he will most likely be back at some point. Today I had my Sister and Mom come over to help with pictures of the two remaining puppies. Roger is looking for a serious show home. Brianna will be here for a while until I decide where she is going. I have several friends wanting to take her home, but nope right now she is my buddy!

Roger and Brianna playing tug. Roger loves a tug toy!!
