Token/Nola puppies - 5 weeks! - part 1

The puppies are 5 weeks old this week. Can you believe it? Between 4 and 5 weeks they start changing a lot. They start interacting with you, playing like Cardigans, they start eating, which means that Mom starts getting sick of cleaning after the puppies (yup, means clean up is doubled!), they start roaming around which means puppies need more space, and finally...well they just keep getting cuter by the day!

Evan has tons of fun going in and playing with the puppies. He has been a big helper in taking care of the puppies and I am sure he will be sad to see them leave to their new homes when the time comes.

And now for the photos...first off we must have some cute ones with Evan...

Aladdin and Evan

All the puppies!

Ariel and Evan

And this is how I found them about 30 minutes later... :-)

Here is their first meal! They gobbled it up like they were starving (if you saw their bellies you would not think so!!)

Feeding time from Nola. This photo is a great way to show you how big they really are compared to when they were born. Belle is the only one who has been left out. Of course she squeezed in right after I shot this photo!

And last but not least...here is their new pen area! Evan was so kind to go in and help the puppies figure out how to navigate their new pen. I think he has a soft spot for little Belle as he has her in his arms again.

Stay tuned for individual shots coming soon...

Token/Nola puppies - 4 weeks!

Here are some fun shots of the puppies during this past week! I decided to put the play shots here. If you would like to see individual pictures, please visit the Puppy Page of my website. Enjoy!

This week I had a helper to watch the puppies...guess who? Yup, that would be Andrew.

He likes to look at the puppies playing...

He likes to say hi to them...

Although he wasn't so sure when Ariel decided to eat his sleeve...:-)

Ok...onto none baby and puppy photos...

Here is Aladdin...

Here is a picture showing size differences...fast asleep is Belle, Mulan, and Peter Pan. And Ariel is trying to wake them up!

Miss Ariel...trying to grab a toy!

Peter Pan lying down and Belle is using him as a pillow.

Belle and Mulan in the background.

Peter Pan

And finally Pocahontas...

Until next week!

Token/Nola puppies - 3 weeks!

I am working on posting individual photos to the website. In the meantime, here is a quick shot of three of the puppies. Left to right: Pocahontas, Peter Pan, and Cinderella. The puppies are starting to numb their toys and play with each other. I heard an actual real bark for the first time a couple of days ago. :-)

Cardi Claus arrived from the other Washington!

This was my first year doing Cardi Claus and it will definitely not be the last. I have followed blogs in past years giving and receiving Cardi Claus but it seems like I always missed the deadline to join in the fun. This year I made a point to watch out for the deadline so I could join the fun!

Our Cardi Claus came all the way from Washington DC thanks to Claire and her crew, Bobby, Charlie, and Jack. The dogs enjoyed their treats, we enjoyed ours, and it was fun for my oldest son, Evan, as we got to learn more about where the other Washington is located and the White House where the ornament is from. Thank you very much!!

Token/Nola puppies - 2 weeks!

Here are some pictures of the Token/Nola puppies! I do still have openings for pet/companion puppies and possibly a show male in this litter. Please inquire to me privately at emluv2sing@aol.com

The boys - of course the least cooperative of the bunch. :-)

Brindle girls - above all nice and sweet, and below saying this is boring!

And finally the sable/red girls - they were perfect! :-)

More photos coming as soon as I get more time on the computer.

First herding trial...

Jenny and I braved the cold Thanksgiving weekend and competed in our first herding trial. It was a local ASCA trial and we only entered Lucy and Dasher in Started sheep. We came out with some brilliant moments as I like to call them and some not so brilliant moments. Good news is that both dogs qualified enough times to earn their first title in ASCA the STDs! So Lucy is now CH Pawcific Dream Date STDs (handled by me!!) and Dasher is now Pawcific I've Got A Date with a Dream STDs (handled by Jenny).
This weekend we are off to a duck clinic to learn more about ducks. Should be fun!

Will be back shortly...

Hi all! I have been in bed the past three days, barely up right today. Needless to say I am way behind on blog updates, website updates, emails, and phone calls as well. I am hopeful as I get my strength back these things will get done, but please be patient!

Just one bit of news before I go take a nap...puppies are 2 weeks old today and we have eyes starting to open. Guess who had their eyes open first??? :-)
